Bricktober 2018... Confusion

Writer's picture: GarrettGarrett

So each October at Toys 'R' Us different limited edition box sets of 4 characters would be a gift with purchase once you pay a certain about of LEGOs. Sometimes they'd sell them separate for $20 USD each. Each week they would have a new set of characters.

But this was all when Toys 'R' Us was still around (RIP).

Now, the confusion begins.

Back in May images were leaked that showed what that there would be a Super Heroes Marvel Infinity Wars set for one week, and another would be Harry Potter. But this week all 4 surfaced on a German shopping newsletter. With a purchase of 40 € or more would get one of these sets per week.

Ninjago

Includes:

4 characters from the show (I know nothing about the show, sorry)

Harry Potter

Includes:

Madam Hooch, Professor Slughorn, Professor Umbridge, Snape Dresses in Neville Longbottom's Aunt

Jurassic World

Includes:

Blue (with meat), Ian Malcolm, Claire, and Owen

Super Heroes Infinity War

Includes:

War machine, Wong, Tony Stark, and Bucky Rogers (White Wolf)

But there was a lot of confusion. They will be released weekly overseas but the U.S. they first said all of them were coming to Barnes & Noble later this year in a Tweet. But then they backed off and said that only the Harry Potter set would be at U.S. Barnes & Noble. So, are the other sets just being offered overseas? Will they be giveaway with purchase at other stores such as Walmart, Target, ETC? I understand Toys "R" Us went under but have a good stable plan!

I still want the Toys "R" Us brickheadz, but these sets are very popular characters so they will go fast on the resale!
